Fun Family & Good Friends – that's what life should be about

My Early Midlife Crisis

A friend reminded me today of one of my inspirations to study social work.  For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a foster mum, but I just couldn’t ever seem to fit it into my life.  I always had to work, or I had kids or step kids of my own (terrible excuses I know).  I remember watching this Australian Story and thinking we need more people like this.  One day I realised that if I studied social work I could help make a difference in the way that I have always wanted.  It had never occurred to me to make it a career (I kept banging my head against the business wall).
